What do teachers say about this resource? (3438)

I am extremely impressed by the coverage of this resource. I can see that I would use it a great deal for HWK but also as an in-class resource. I can see it being particularly beneficial for cover lessons. I thought the topic coverage was excellent and therefore could support not just KS3 but also lower ability pupils at KS4 and even KS2 pupils. I love the inclusion of answers – this saves the teacher time. You could also photocopy the grammar table answers and give them to pupils to stick in their books.

It is easy to run out of 'ready made' homework as textbooks do not offer a wide range of exercises to practise new topics and grammar points. Therefore this is a useful booklet for teachers who want to offer extra revision of the main KS3 topics to their pupils. There is evidence of differentiation which allows pupils to work at varying levels as I found some of the tasks far more challenging than others. Its clear presentation makes it easy to use.

A good range of interesting, different activities pitched at the right level. Plenty of choice.

I found plenty of things I could use straight away for starters and plenaries and homeworks.

I liked the fact that knowledge is reinforced in a variety of interesting ways.

Time-saving. The accessibility of useful exercises when preparation time is short, and the fact that they can be photocopied onto paper or OHTs if needed for starters or plenaries.

I like the variety of activities and that there are several pages in each topic area. I also particularly like the sections on La France and Les pays européens. These could be used as cross-curricular links with Geography. I also like the inclusion of the answers, which will save time when marking.

This resource is very good additional material for all pupils (and extension work for brighter pupils). The presentation is excellent and is ready for distribution. I frequently recommend ZigZag materials to my colleagues within schools and in other schools.
