3D Movie Glasses CAD/CAM Project

Engage your students with this popular, fun, yet focused ‘design and make’ task. Provides an excellent grounding for CAD using TechSoft 2D Design. The final outcome is a set of 3D movie glasses using CAM.

Intuitive structure: Introduction & Project Brief > Research Tasks > CAD > CAM > Extension Tasks

A good idea that should be inexpensive to create and I feel the students would enjoy the final outcome

  • CAMM1, CAMM2 and Spirit Laser Setup Cards
  • TechSoft 2D Design Files

  • Clear, concise guidance means that a non-specialist or supply teacher can deliver the material – great for cover lessons
  • Inexpensive to produce

Excellent way of using CAD/CAM. It should allow all students to achieve and make a fun item. It is well resourced and has all the templates etc that you need. It has clear instructions and step by step plans. It allows for differentiation with good suggestions for implementing this.

S Rule, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

A simple easy to follow resource. It would be useful as a basic starter course. I think I would find it easy to 'dip in' and select various tasks for more specific parts of the syllabus.

J Dover, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

Well presented with clear instructions, it is the type of resource that as a teacher you can hand out for the students to work through and they will happily follow the instructions, a good introduction to 2-D designer.
