As I opened it, I felt the WOW factor on reading the idea and the topics... A good idea, entertaining for the pupils and conducive to independent learning.... It encourages pupils to think and relate prior knowledge to newer concepts and enables them to work collaboratively, looking at history from varying points of view.... It links in perfectly well with the National Curriculum.
Reinforces learning by using a different approach, more like a game than work... covers an awful lot of facts!... The crosswords would be useful for revision and homework. Well done to the compilers.... It does do what it says on the tin. Some of the excerpts from contemporary sources were very interesting (and easy to read). I could have done with them the last time my class looked at the Middle Ages.
