This is a super resource which fills the current gap for practice material in reading and writing for the new GCSE specification for first teaching 2024.
The language used is also bang up-to-date and includes vocabulary and ideas such as ‘artificial intelligence’.
It is a well-thought-out resource which will support the development of students’ reading and writing skills in the context of the new specification. Vocabulary will be extended, comprehension skills advanced, and the progression in terms of complexity within each topic area will provide students with the confidence to produce their own written answers.
The aspect that I liked most was the differentiation between foundation and higher, providing targeted practice for all learners. There is a comprehensive coverage of thematic contexts and builds on the key skills required for the examination.
