What do teachers say about this resource? (12210)
The resource provides a good range of question types covering the specification well. Each task tests a spread of abilities, so enables students of all abilities to access the homework.
There is a great range of question types, from straight-forward knowledge checks (terminology is so important for all students) and also includes relevant mathematical questions too.
Will save you time creating your own resources. PLUS students can't access the mark schemes!
This is a well-structured set of differentiated homework tasks that clearly aim to deepen conceptual understanding beyond simple recall.
One of the features I particularly liked was the differentiation built into the structure. The way each section is divided into “Content Check” and “Extend Your Thinking” means that the same resource can be used with both weaker students, who need to secure the basics, and stronger students, who will benefit from stretching questions that encourage deeper application.
Another strength is the focus on applied questioning. Rather than asking learners to simply state a fact, many of the questions require interpretation, evaluation or application, which is much more in line with the assessment objectives used in OCR examinations.
