What do teachers say about this resource? (12012, 12013, 12014, 12015, 12016)
Perfectly matches the maths content in Biology of Combined Science and is comprehensive. Easy to understand, with worked examples (solutions) that would help EAL students. Excellent layout. The diagnostic test (starting point) is excellent; results from this can be used to make an individual learning plan for learners to improve a particular aspect of maths. Furthermore, it can be used for independent study, as suggested in the teachers' instructions. This is a good quality resource.
Potentially can be used as transition to AS Biology.
I like how it tells you what buttons to enter into a calculator. I also appreciate stating standard form is the same as standard index- as a teacher I would have assumed learners would know this but the author has made no assumptions and had really broken down each concept. The appropriate use of bold font and simple language makes it very student friendly.
The resource was useful. The variety of topics covered is good; there are certain topics which lean into certain topics. But there are also other topics which are not necessarily the obvious topic to choose for the type of maths questions that are asked - this is good for students to see!
The questions are pitched at a range of abilities for the most part, and other than very low attainers, there are questions which the students can answer.
