What do teachers say about this resource? (10678)

This was a life saver as there are no many sample papers available for students to practise ... I also used them as a study companion together with the mark scheme ... I gave the 2 papers to my students to work on them during the Christmas holidays, they have to read the question and research or find answer in the book and then check it against mark scheme ... I think it will be an effective way to make students study/revise the topics included in the unit ... the format is perfect ... Can we have more, please?

An invaluable resource for a new specification. There is a good range of command words and course material included throughout the papers. The figure-based questions are relevant, current, and have the correct level of challenge.

The assessment papers are written in line with the SAM materials created by Pearson. They include a wide range of command words with a balanced mix of short and long answer questions. A good range of figures is included with the correct level of challenge. The data and figures have been obtained from recent events/issues.

This resource is invaluable to help Travel and Tourism teachers build up a bank of past paper questions to help prepare their students for the examination. As this is a new specification and examination element is new there is currently a limited supply of past paper questions. Teachers will feel more confident to create their own examination questions with the aid of this resource.

The bullet points for the marking criteria are clear and concise. Teachers should be able to mark pupil responses with ease.

Just what we need in order to help our learners prepare for the examined unit for this relatively new qualification. There is a distinct lack of exam papers and these are a fantastic and very useful resource for us to use. Well written and mark scheme succinct and relevant with clear guidance. extremely well written and had a fantastic balance of stand-alone questions along with graphs and charts or the learner to use and answer questions from. The scenarios were excellent and up to date giving the learners the right amount of information required to answer the questions. The command verbs were clear as was the expectation of marks for answering the question. A great variety of questions throughput the different papers which would be very useful in class to practice and for revision as the topics are numerous and all within the spec. The style of questions is aligned to that of the Pearson style of questioning. This resource clearly allows for the teacher to check learning and to issue the questions in isolation as a recap/starter activity or the whole paper for a revision exercise. This resource would clearly have an educational value in preparing students for the exam and the style and range of questions along with what is necessary to achieve higher marks and the importance of command verbs. These papers fully encompass the learning aims of the new qualification along with matching the Pearson format. The author clearly has an in depth knowledge of the qualification and has used as many different parts of a large specification to ensure coverage of as much of the key learning.
