I liked this resource, It does what it says on the label!
I particularly liked the clear contents page and the revision tasks accompanying each section, especially the timeline at the end.
It enhances learning via the variety of approaches, e.g. key terms, learning objectives, scene setting questions etc. In this context the teacher’s intro was very helpful. Its educational value is to provide pupils with a sensible balance of text/activity so that the weaker students do not feel lost but the stronger ones can be challenged, e.g. by the exam style questions to write full essays.
It matches the spec very well. Here a useful innovation is to include the spec ref, p2 and relate it to subsequent chapters.
