This resource enhances learning by providing a thorough and organized curriculum that covers essential concepts in film analysis and production. Its interactive activities and engaging content create a dynamic learning environment, fostering students' critical thinking, creativity, and appreciation for the art of filmmaking. The content is comprehensive, well-structured, and perfectly aligned with the GCSE specification. I was impressed by the resource's attention to detail, providing in-depth coverage of key film concepts while keeping the material engaging and accessible for students.
Fantastic. Fun, varied and relevant. The worksheets and accompanying powerpoint are so helpful. It is my first time teaching this subject and these resources have been a godsend. This has saved me a lot of time and given me peace of mind that I was covering the course content in an interesting way. The most comprehensive and clear set of resources I have purchased.
A well structured, extremely useful introduction to Film Studies! This is a very comprehensive resource, which would be particularly useful for teachers new to the subject. All key areas for the study of film form have been included. I particularly like the range of film examples given for analysis, they have a sound range of genre types along with a mix of historical and contemporary film texts. The powerpoint activities are also well reflected in the handout guide, clearly expressed throughout. The resources moves through each key element of film form in turn, and the activities allow for both the development of possible prior existing knowledge, and the introduction of concepts to students with little prior engagement with the subject.
Clear structure- a good introduction to the course. Nice use of some key terms. Having each 'lesson' as a separate PowerPoint is good for pace and clear progression through the lesson. Nice for an introduction to Film Studies for students who have not done studies Film before. Supportive for teachers new to the course and unfamiliar with the terminology too.
