What do teachers say about this resource? (10331)

This resource covers all the specification requirements for component one and reflects the skills and knowledge required by candidates for this component. This will certainly aid with helping with lesson planning and course coverage and will definitely be of use to use between assessors to help with standardisation of the learners work. The worksheets were a great addition as this really allowed my pupils to access what was required of them to answer the assignment and is useful for all abilities of learner. This is a great resource which provides comprehensive support to component 1. The points within the practice tasks were extremely comprehensible and in such detail, assessors can standardise by using the bullet points alone. The worksheets were fabulous in that they are preparing learners for what they need to input into their final piece and allowing the learners to work through in small sections aiding their success at completing this component. The worksheets provided are in such detail it allows to the individuals to access the assignment and break it down into small segments. For the assessor the added assignment briefs allow some scope away from the exam board ones and allow the centre to show further context within the scenario and by breaking down the tasks as this resource does allows learners and assessors to develop greater knowledge of what is required from this component. All the specification criteria has been noted even the fall back criteria in the feedback forms which is a requirement of the board. All the assessment aspects have been included meaning that all work from a L1 to L2D can be acquired from every student. The assignment briefs are full and concise with a scenario which is robust and would be a great asset to centres looking to update the boards published assignment briefs. This is a total solution for those completing component one... Would be ideal for non specialist teachers.

The resource is good, it is useful how there are a number of tasks linked to the assignments to engage the pupils and get them thinking back to the original task and then being able to do the tables, and worksheets to write up the information in more detail. I really liked that there was a breakdown of tasks, and worksheets to help the pupils understand each stage of the assignment, and then being able to use this to help them in their learning and write up. The case studies are really good too, as this gives the pupils a sense of reference to link back to. It helps the learning because it breaks down all the information and will allow the pupils to be able to process and work through the tasks. The worksheets are set out in a really good way to make it easy for the pupils to fill in the information needed. They will allow the pupils to be able to write up the key notes and then be able to use this when they are writing up their work.

Very comprehensive and the tasks have questions that increase in difficulty and so is good for classes of mixed ability. Keywords are defined at the beginning and in bold throughout assignments to remind students what is expected of them. It directly links each assignment to the objectives that it is assessing... students can get familiar with the layout of a real assignment. There is nothing like this on the market at the moment. It gives students a chance to prepare for the internal assessments.

The quality allows students to practice and achieve a high grade. Very detailed case studies which allows students to complete tasks... It covers Level 1 and as well as the level 2 Passes and distinctions. The case studies are relevant and help the students to establish what they need to do to gain a higher grade. Case studies are detailed enough for the students to make connections to the criteria and the handouts help to enhance the learning as they can clearly see where the grades are and what they need to do to make the grades. It would help the students to know what they need to cover as a practice before they get the assignment.
