What do teachers say about this resource? (10310)
The resource is a good mix of activities that would be suitable for homework or independent study tasks. They are well designed to allow for recall and consolidation of knowledge. The activities range from easy to more challenging, and the use of research-based extension tasks is great for extending understanding. The option to use a higher or lower ability version of the homework is added bonus and useful for differentiation planning. The cross reference table at the beginning will be useful when reviewing and updated schemes of learning. This resource has high educational value in respect to the content links and the set up which allows students to apply their knowledge. The retrieval aspects of some tasks are good for testing prior learning, and could be a good way of interleaving or iterative testing throughout the year and not just after a topic is taught. The resource is easily accessible for students, and the use of higher and lower versions is a great bonus. Presentation and layout are student friendly, there is a good mix of activity types helping to break up the page. There are images used to spark interest. The exam practice tasks are consistent throughout which makes them easy to stop and for students to recognise. The resource includes teacher answer pages which although lengthy and wordy at first glance, are easy to follow and locate for each activity. This resource is strongly matched to the unit 1 content and topics. The resource follows each content area in order which is useful for when wanting a homework or even plenary task quickly and easily. A good addition to our current scheme of learning
There is a range of different homework tasks and the whole specification is included. They are in-depth but are simple homework tasks that can be completed independently and will be used to reinforce prior knowledge.
