What do teachers say about this resource? (11787, 11788, 11789)

This is a welcomed resource to support the delivery of GCSE Business. Its simple structure, yet ample question bank would provide a generous support of practice questions for students to learn and consolidate their understanding of the business calculations.

I like how each question is linked to a business context. This is a positive part of this resource because it introduces students to a range of different businesses, which is an area students find difficult to master because of the lack of exposure and experience.

I like the fact that a range of calculations has been provided against each topic, which provides ample opportunity to master these calculation skills.

These would be useful as ‘DO NOW’ tasks or as part of a plenary to check students learning.

The many calculations linked to each topic is useful, which provides ample opportunity to perfect student’s skills, knowledge and understanding through knowledge retrieval.

There are so many uses this resource could be used to enhance students learning. Do Now Tasks/Starters, Progress Check following the learning, Plenaries to check understanding, homework tasks, in class activities as part of the learning, cover work to carry on the learning.

I liked the resource, it had a good range of activities, and covered the areas that most GCSE business specs cover in terms of numerical content.

I liked:
Answers are included
Examples have a wide range of context, e.g. window cleaner to
Examples present data in a wide range of ways e.g. text, tables etc
Cashflows use different formats as per exam boards, so plenty of examples can find that similar to your exam board
Range of examples, some easier and harder so good for stretch and challenge and to support weaker students

Nothing I disliked

I would use this in the classroom to build student confidence with their financial calculations.

The resource is excellent and gives a lot of practice for the student. The scenarios are realistic and varied and the students should find that these calculations become more easier once they have worked through these questions.
