What do teachers say about this resource? (10021)

This resource contains lots of really useful information and activities... I really like this resource as it gives lots of links to examples of what the musical devices sound like within each genre of music. This used to take me ages to find appropriate links to share with students so it is really beneficial to have a ready made resource where all of this is available for you - either on youtube or on spotify... I particularly like the Latin genres and rhythms table - my Year 10 group have found this really useful and have really enjoyed listening to all of the examples - this has given us a great starting point for discussion on the different musical aspects of them... From a student's perspective the resource is really useful as it has lots of examples of what portamento, glissando, backbeat, syncopation etc actually sounds like. This is invaluable for revision purposes and in the current COVID climate is really useful... The revision table is also really useful as this draws students attention immediately to the correct musical device for each strand of traditional music... A ready made resource, with lots of really useful information and student friendly activities that can be used to assess understanding or check understanding or as starter or plenary activities...I am using this resource as preparation for the listening exam and it is perfect!
