What do teachers say about this resource? (12738)
I really like this resource. It is of a high-quality and well-designed resource. The format, structure, and layout are clear and consistent, making it easy for students to follow independently as homework. The differentiated approach adds significant value and supports a wide range of learners effectively. The highlight is the differentiation, along with the use of images to support understanding and the wide variety of question types. Having two differentiated versions of each homework task is particularly effective, allowing teachers to target students or offer choice. The resource enhances learning by allowing students to practice key content independently and at an appropriate level of challenge. The differentiated tasks cover the same content but through varied activities, which support engagement and deeper understanding. Extension tasks further encourage higher-level thinking and stretch the more able learners.
As a whole, I think this is a valuable resource, especially for teachers who have mixed-ability classes. I like how it is broken into the different sections clearly, so it can be used either to consolidate learning at the end of teaching a section or as a revision exam practice resource before the exam. I liked how different activities were used, whilst also maintaining some consistency in the layout throughout different homeworks. I like a lot of the adaptations used to differentiate between higher and lower ability e.g. matching definitions for lower ability, while higher ability defines them independently.
I feel homework activity 5 was particularly good. I also like how some of the later activities include photos. Allows students to review learning using exam-style questions. There are also lots of opportunities for teachers to check student understanding and misconceptions e.g. when matching example actions to the correct PCV.
