What do teachers say about this resource? (12574)

I think that this is an excellent resource and provides a clear breakdown of all components of the exam. I like the in-depth explanation of each question type (multiple choice, short/medium answers etc), the explanations are straightforward and it is very user-friendly. I think all ability pupils would be able to utilise this resource as part of their exam preparation and gain valuable knowledge to take forward into the exam. The table of command words which is then referred back to at every exam question, is very pupil friendly and clear on how to answer. The introduction to each type of exam question, explains what each type of question will be looking for.
The mark scheme makes it very time-efficient for teachers and gives students immediate feedback.
The relevance of some questions (Beth Mead) allows pupils to relate and have a better understanding of the injury and link it to the question. The layout clearly follows the structure of an exam which makes it easy to follow as a teacher.

This resource is invaluable, as it supplements a new specification where this is the first year the exam is being sat there has been heavy criticism from teachers regarding lack of prep from the exam board and changes in knowledge which needs to be taught. The exam differs massively from historic BTEC exams and this resource will allow teachers to thoroughly support pupils by breaking down all types of questions helping them gain confidence in answering these. I think it is set out very well, and the style of questions matches the January series exam. The annotation and breakdown of questions is very easily understood and the variety of activities are easy to understand and accessible. If I was using this as a classroom resource I may ask different pupils to focus on different areas of the exam following prior knowledge checks or mock exams. There is a lot of confusion from many teachers regarding this specification and unfortunately little clarity from the exam board. The WhatsApp group for this spec has teachers regularly crying out for support with exam-based preparation, this resource would be very valuable to a lot of schools.
