What do teachers say about this resource? (12964)
A fantastic resource for teachers to use and assess students in the last part of the course. In terms of homework, there is not much available for teachers to use, and we have especially struggled last year to keep students engaged with homework. This would complement the eRevision really well. Questions were realistic to what you would expect in the Comp 3 exam. The questions align with the Component 3 content areas, making it easy to track progress over time. The tiered nature of tasks (e.g. short recall to extended responses) supports differentiation and scaffolding. The resource follows the structure of the real exam paper, which helps reduce anxiety and boost familiarity for students, making them much more confident. I currently teach a low-ability group, and visual is a big helper. There are lots of opportunities for retrieval practice, independent revision, and formative assessment, but it can also be used as in-class revision and making it more valuable. The repeated exposure to exam-style questions helps students to refine their exam technique and build confidence over time. It can also be used for interventions. I think it is set out very well, and matches a real exam paper well too. The layout and spacing of questions are good. It matches it well, and I am impressed with the variety of activities. It covers all relevant sections from Component 3 (particularly the health and wellbeing improvement plan) and includes a balance of knowledge recall, application, and analysis.
The layout is clear and the majority of pages are not overcrowded with information making it easy to read. ... The practice exam questions allow the students to see the purpose of what they are learning. ... The students can easily progress through each section and self-mark, which allows them to easily identify their development areas for revision.
