What do teachers say about this resource? (9799)
Provides a really solid framework for teachers to develop a focused and purposeful scheme of work to support students' understanding and to develop relevant skills in preparation for the exam. The focus on practical activities means the students (and teachers!) remember that this is a play to be performed and to be explored in the rehearsal room, not purely as a work of literature... This is a properly "hands on' resource and I could see my students enjoying many of the activities included... The resource does feel 'pick up and go' and would really support younger teachers or those not as familiar with the text. That said, it could also be used effectively by a more seasoned teacher... I like the fact that some of the activities are more discussion based and others entirely practical... I really liked some of the activities designed to develop performance skills... These are a useful way of encouraging students to adapt the way they perform and to understand why they are doing so... There is an excellent range of tasks and a range of levels of difficulty too. This would mean that a teacher was able to differentiate the way they share the material with their classes... Helps students plan their own production concept and helps them build confidence in the production process... Really enjoyed reading this resource.
This was a very thorough resource... I liked the set out nature and the through thought process allowed. It allowed a real sense of understanding of process. The handout sheets to fill in allowed students to work through in order and gain an understanding of the text.
