A really interesting resource that tackles a country which is often neglected or ignored. I liked the interesting variety of data sets and the many different data presentation tasks that the geography pupils got to practice. The data was clearly recent and relevant and made reference to the war in Ukraine. Educational value is high. Many KS3 pupils will have heard or watched information about Russia on the tv due to the invasion of Ukraine. This sets this aside and allows them to learn about the country and its history to enable those who do want to , to make a judgement on Russia and Russians. This fits very well with the National curriculum KS3 Geography framework which specifically mentions Russia. This is also very good as a springboard to GCSE work as data and interpretation is in there.

Interesting selection of activities that encompasses both the human and physical and environmental elements of this region. If the pupils complete all the tasks they will most definitely have a good / excellent knowledge of the region. All very clear and easy to access.

The educational value of this resource lies in the hands-on approach of each lesson, with very little preparation needed and yet a lot of overlearning for students through the use of atlas or information provided.
A great resource that provokes deeper understanding of the geography of each country it is clear the author has carefully and skilfully thought about the importance of the country and the unique geography behind it. It was great to see a continent focused approach to study geography this approach was interesting and there was some very interesting features to this resource.
