What do teachers say about this resource? (9337)

Loved the ambition and the quality of the information within the resource... I like the fact that it encompasses hair/makeup and mask within the idea of costume... I like that the resource covers several components – very useful if you have a costume-crazy student! I like how they have introduced the idea of a director or a creative vision – which will help them extend their ideas for their own work... I like that many of the practical activities can be done as a whole group or easily adapted to use at the beginning of one of the pieces to ensure that costume is seen as an integral part of the piece. This really pushes students to think at a high level as a costume designer... This is well planned to give students a high level of skill for the idea of designing for costume/makeup etc. it can be used for any of the components and gives very versatile and useful information.

R Crosbie, Head of Drama & Peer Reviewer

Informative and accessible... The resource’s content is thorough. I really like the resource pack’s use of specific live theatre production examples... An easy pack to work through. Short but relevant text/script examples and images to demonstrate information and meaning to learners... Contains a variety of tasks to engage and challenge the learner... Appropriate and engaging website links provided. Extension activities included to promote further learning. Example question and answers / essay templates are beneficial for learners and are appropriate to the specification. Answers and Teachers notes are very useful – makes the resource highly valuable to a NQT teaching costume, hair and make-up design... A good match to the specification... A really useful resource.

S Borley, Course Leader & Peer Reviewer

A thorough and well researched resource... on the whole informative and challenging
