  • Fascinating examples of both cutting-edge and historic developments to engage students with Science.
  • Totally flexible – use as a core lesson element, extension activity or a homework.
  • Discussion questions and comprehension questions allow students to consolidate, then take their ideas further.

A fantastic resource to stimulate learning and further research; challenging enough to stretch the most able, but supported by structured questioning to make it accessible to all pupils

Very good. Excellent coverage across the topics, a nice variety of follow-on activities, well written articles and well elected further stimulus material to extend pupils.

It is an excellent resource to stretch most able and very good value for money.

What do teachers say about this resource? (9846)

I thought that this resource was well-designed with the clear intention of challenging those most-able students within the class. I particularly like that the individual articles have clear links to the specification. I like the fact there is a range of different activities such as comprehension and key words, rather than simply reading an extension article.
I think that this resource enhances learning by pushing the students to apply what they have learnt to a real-world context, something which often occurs during exam papers.
I think that this resource matches the specification well and builds upon what the students will have learnt within lessons. I also feel that the breadth of articles covers a wide range of the second half of the specification, increasing the opportunities with which to use these articles. It is easy for a teacher to follow with specification.
