A topical resource.... to look at all aspects Brexit... academic discussion around the topic of Brexit. The impartial approach enables students to draw their own conclusions from the data presented. The essay answers were a good addition and provided the examination focus I did not think would be present in the document... I like the idea of students making a predictions diary... encourages [students] to examine all of the economic arguments surrounding the Brexit issue. The poor quality debate and evidence from the Brexit and Bremain campaigns make this document all the more useful... I like the separation of essays from the main discussion topics. The activities push the students to reflect upon the data... The author has linked the learning/ lessons of the material to the general macroeconomic topics of A level Economics. There are some good links to specific industries, such as tourism.
I liked the activities boxes which focus students' minds on data analysis. Also, the cases made were balanced and clear... It enhances learning through clear analysis of the issues and activities which focus the mind on data. It also offers many useful points for discussion. It is a very worrying time right now to be a young person, with the Brexit and now US presidential election earthquakes and I think this resource offers a useful and constructive way to make some sense of it. In particular, the section on inequality vs immigration throws some analytical light on a confusing and emotional political debate... Boxes are used effectively to give background info. Pictures are eye-cathching and thought-provoking... a good application of some of the major topics.
