What do teachers say about this resource? (7205)

A very well written and comprehensive guide... I was impressed with the range of notation examples and the use of external sources... he referencing of these allows those really high ability students to do further independent reading... I also particularly liked the summary table for the musical characteristics of each piece at the end of the chapter. The examination questions looked rigorous and would challenge students’ knowledge and understanding at all levels... This resources gives students the permission to get into the ‘nitty-gritty’ of three pieces and understand the issues of each song, issues that are still prevalent and current as they were 18 years ago (US-Mexican border immigration control, family bereavement, and relationships) Not only does this resource push hard the importance of key vocabulary, it also places importance on exam technique and recall of facts too... [The resource] caters to ensure that all students are able to access the full range of marks available in this part of the specification and there is some handy advice on how to access those higher grades... Afantastic resource - thank you for putting the time and dedication into it!

Extremely detailed and structured in a really useful way. It makes planning for delivery much more manageable because I can follow the topic areas and not worry about missing anything out.

It has useful tasks and gives consolidation questions to embed knowledge. Really useful exam style questions too. Gives students in depth analysis and short ‘chunked’ activities.

The work is done for you! You can follow the structure and use the tasks as part of your lesson. Best resource I have found!

Matches [the AQA spec] perfectly.

J Burtsell, Head of Music and Customer

Inclusive and accessible - pieces are analysed in adequate depth to stretch more able candidates and allow sufficient access to lower ability. Quality of writing is excellent throughout and appropriate to the level.
