What do teachers say about this resource? (9659)

[How does the resource match and interpret this specification? ]Perfectly - this is a brilliant resource which breaks down the specification into units and makes it really clear what fits where and how they link together. As someone who is struggling to find resources for my higher ability GCSE pupils, I think this is a fantastic, useful resource. I think that it will push higher pupils that little bit further than GCSE and also bridge the gap between GCSE and A Level. I really like the structure of it. I teach a very mixed ability Year 11 group and the type activities in this booklet allow for higher ability to complete some independent work whilst still having the challenge of the higher level skills and application. I really like also that it is broken down into child friendly presentation whilst providing resources that can be used in both lessons and revision sessions. I like that there is a recap for the grammar points before moving forward as a reference point.

K Seazell, Head of MFL & Peer Reviewer

Very good resource for more able students. I like the fact that each topic starts with a text as an example of what a good piece of writing should look like. What I particularly like about this resource is the scaffolding type of activities, and very clear and succinct higher level grammatical points explained. The section "How to Write" gets students to think about the structure and important elements of a particular type of writing, how to recognise and write an introduction and a conclusion and the type of language to use... The questions are very relevant and make students think about the writing side of the text, rather than its comprehension.

In general, I like the resource as it gives students plenty of opportunity to learn useful vocabulary-linguistic structures to enable them to tackle the GCSE Edexcel French exams at higher tier with confidence.
