Useful addition to the bookshelf, ready for that terrible morning when Y9 drama teacher is off sick and someone unsuitable has been given cover. It is easy to access, one page, one idea, easily copied for a teacher to deal with in an emergency. Equally it could act as basis of a full course – say Y7 programme with development. Does what is says on the tin – for emergencies, instantly creative drama lessons for non-specialists. Equally good as a range of warm-up exercises for drama or creative writing.
This resource is both stimulating and imaginative. It contains many original ideas for pupils together with a variety of activities... would appeal to pupils’ creativity... ideal for cover material. I can imagine many pupils returning to the lesson the following week desperate to show their teacher what they came up with independently.
Nice range of activities to suit different types of learners... I like the fact that once the activities are set up the teacher can take a step back and let the students get on with it.
