What do teachers say about this resource? (12866)
This is a comprehensive resource which will enable students who are approaching their GCSE exams to come to a translation of their own and to also be able to appreciate the style of the language as they translate.
I think that the interspersing of the grammar help with the style notes is a good idea, since it encourages students to read the style as they prepare the translation.
As always, the numbered guide is a useful scaffolding tool for students who are coming to lightly adapted Greek for the first time.
It supplements the OCR anthology with a greater amount of stylistic analysis of the sort needed to achieve the highest grades.
The presentation and layout is very clear. I particularly like having the original language and the translation side-by-side
This resource is very well-matched to the specification, including accurate translation of the Greek to aid in the comprehension questions and also the stylistic analysis needed for the 4- and 8-mark questions.
The practice paper at the end is also a particularly welcome addition for a new set text for which there are no past papers for practice.
