My department love them. The layout, the range of questions and the timely nature of the resources, allows us to confidently plan and assess our students.
We have used these resources for the last three years and we would highly recommend them.
It is does exactly what I need it to for my students. It has a range of activities, exam questions and exam papers with mark schemes. It saves a huge amount of time planning and it creates great discussions. I trust them.
Very comprehensive with a wide range of additional information, links an activities. The 'topic on a page' posters were very helpful in summarising the issue. It is appropriate for all abilities. A wide range of activities to get to know the resource booklet. Clear information about the economic and environmental issues. Good value for money given that there are more than enough resources (paper and electronic) and lots of support and ideas for how to use it.
Really engaging resource that is visually clear and accessible for both staff and students. Works well as a way to condense a large amount of information from several sources into a ‘one stop shop’ sheet. Additionally it suits a range of abilities with stretch and challenge as well as scaffolding. They can be used in a range of ways too, groups, individuals etc. the balance of text and diagrams also works well. Has a range of purposes across multiples time frames, can be used a the beginning, the end for revision. Students can also take ownership of it as a resource and potential revision tool. The summery is also useful to help and support staff in planning and delivery this aspect of the paper. Visual appealing and good balance of text vs diagrams. Encompasses a range of grade abilities. Figures from the pre release are directly referred to.
It was very comprehensive and had a range of information and activities. Highlights spec links and has many opportunities for further reading. Lots of visual stimulus and video clips, has a strong enquiry focus with the information provided. Activities allow engagement with the graphs and data and examples with the skills part are relevant to the theme. This resource would be beneficial for engaging with the pre release material and preparation for paper 3. Visual clear and engaging and a good balance of text vs diagrams/graphs. It has a strong synoptic natures which highlights its links to the specification and also recaps a lot of paper 2 content as it draws out the themes from the pre-release material. The skills section also draws well on the relevant graphicacy elements that need to be covered.
An excellent resource that allows students to prepare for the pre-release exam. Will allow students of all ability levels to access the content and prepare accordingly. It also provides links to alternative resources to help provide students with additional reading to gain a deeper understanding of the content. I like how the resource is divided into clear sections, particular the divide between the gaining an overview of the resource and then the delving deeper. This makes it easier for teachers to understand where the priority needs to be. I like the range of activities for students to complete, particularly as they cover written to skill base activities.
I think that this resource is a great way to prepare students for the pre-release section of paper 3. It allows them to delve into the content in more detail, whilst also ensuring that any gaps in their knowledge are identified and fixed. It also includes exam practice to help ensure students gain familiarity with exam questions for the chosen text. I think that the style matches nicely with the specification and there are a variety of questions from a range of assessment objectives. This is a fantastic resource that will really help prepare students with the pre-release booklet.
