What do teachers say about this resource? (12995)
On the whole I thought this was an excellent resource. Its introduction was clear,p2 and it was up to date, spring 2025.It also made use of the OCR website intelligently, rather than reinventing the wheel, and the front page of each paper was user-friendly eg p3.The mark schemes were also very thorough and in line with AOs.
It would enhance learning by providing extra material on a topic less well resourced than some of the other options. With more practice, candidates would gain in confidence, the basic groundwork on which positive learning can be based. Its educational value would also be to save teachers time creating materials, rather than spending it more profitably on discussion of these.
I do teach this specification periodically and have found it more difficult to energise students, than say the hero paper,so extra help is beneficial. I presume the same applies to other teachers not fully confident of the philosophy aspect.
I would definitely purchase this. The author knows what he/she is talking about.
What do teachers say about this resource? (12962)
On the whole I was impressed with this resource. It fills a gap in the market as one can quickly run out of old exam papers and would be very useful for mocks and revision in general.
I particularly liked the detailed mark schemes, hardly distinguishable from the real thing.
This would enhance learning by providing practice, then examples of how answers should be phrased/created ie learning by doing. Its educational value is immeasurable, as it will stretch the more able, while not being out of reach of those who are struggling. It would be particularly useful to those who have missed part of the course, or are being tutored individually.
What do teachers say about this resource? (12994)
On the whole I think this is an excellent resource. It provides 3 extra papers in addition to those on OCR website, so teachers should not run out of practice material, especially in the final revision period. It could also be used to stretchy the more able/hard working and could help independent workers/teachers as the mark schemes are so thorough.
What do teachers say about this resource? (12214)
It matches the specification excellently. On the whole I liked this resource as there is a shortage of practice papers with mark schemes. Very useful for revision and/or mock examinations. It enhanced learning by giving teachers an analytical tool to check on students’ progress, and their strengths and weaknesses, particularly if it is spaced out during the year. Its educational value is to remove fear of the final examination by making students more familiar with question types.
Useful for both students and teachers to use for practice under timed conditions.
