What do teachers say about this resource? (12358)

A very effective resource ... It covers all of the specification and provides many different types/styles of question ... It helps ensure students can cope with any question given to them, no matter how it's phrased. It also helps identify areas of weakness in student knowledge ... Very thorough coverage

D Bate, Head of Computing & Peer Reviewer

a fabulous resource to make learners practice for their exams. This not only helps them develop self-learning skills, but also provide a comprehensive frame to the students, parents and teachers to assess learners on specific topics. Teachers also are able to assess learner’s specific needs and can work on tailored programmes for better results ... I liked that all the relevant topics have been covered in these four papers ... Practice and discussions within learning environment prepares learners for their exams. Learners identify common mistakes by reviewing their answers and comparing them to model solutions, discussions and applying theoretical knowledge to solve problems. Practicing within a fixed time-frame teaches them time-keeping skills and prepares them for their summative assessments by improving their speed and accuracy ... Learners gain transferable skills such as time-keeping, problem-solving, and Self-learning and development with such resources. They gauge their understanding of the subject and identify areas of strength and weaknesses. Familiarisation with exam format reduces anxiety, and boosts self-confidence. Revisiting topics through practice papers aids in long term knowledge retention which helps them in their work environment ... Students will touch upon every topic revisiting them with appropriate distribution of time for the preparation of their exam

M Gandhi, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

The resource was clear in terms of each of the questions being written well in line with the exam board. The number of questions were in sequence and the key words used at the beginning of each question aligned with the marks that were awarded ... the fact that there is a specification map ... is excellent and allows teachers to see what has and hasn't been covered in each exam which makes for planning and assessment really effective ... this is 4 additional papers to the few that are available to teachers as J277 is still very new and doesn't have the scope of past papers available to them to utilise for assessment and for mock exams etc

What do teachers say about this resource? (10919)

Good concept. I like that you can see what each exam is assessing ... I can pick the exam based on what I want to assess without needing to compare all question, it's all laid out on pages 5 & 6... It saves time making your own questions and mark scheme... It matches the OCR J277 spec very well
