GCSE AQA Set Work Analysis: Zoltan Kodaly

Kodály’s suite is made up of several musical parts in a folk opera based on the tall tales of the veteran soldier Háry János, celebrated in Hungarian history. Questions on the suite are at the end of a demanding exam, requiring the student’s intense focus on listening out for small details. Key to success in these questions is preparation. This resource is designed to provide an accessible way to study the characterful, if lesser-known, set work.
