G Beverly, Head of Politics & Customer

There is nothing in this resource that students won't find useful - it is that good

D Taborda, Deputy HoD & Peer Reviewer

  • Regular talking points and activities get students thinking

What do teachers say about this resource? (10501)

I believe that this is resource is just the Politics resource that we have been waiting for. It is very well written and collated and shows a clear knowledge base from the author throughout. It is a resource which I believe will be snapped up rapidly by any good Politics Teacher. It is exactly what they need - the key overview of the PMs at the start of each case study sets the scene for the course of their Premiership. The detail for each PM carefully takes the course of their Premiership and makes it accessible for each student. It allows for a good range of Premierships to be covered all of which have very different aspects to their tenures along with some shared aspects i.e. Brown and May both promising so much yet delivering so little. The key terms throughout the resource are important - keeps the student focused and informed on the key points from each PM. There is nothing in this resource that students won't find useful - it is that good.
Educationally - first class. All students need to study three elections and with this comes PMs and their tenures. Therefore, this resource is educationally imperative - students can refer to case studies of PMs as and when they need and cross reference events and concepts with each Prime Minister. I like the fact that it is also across both exam boards - this is important as it means that this resource can reach the widest possible demographic of students who need this resource. I can already think of some of my students who would benefit hugely from this resource.
As it matches both specifications [Edexcel and AQA], it is good. It is generic enough a resource to be selectively chosen for certain parts of each specification. It doesn't tie the teacher to a specific focus - it is very adaptable and very usable by the students and teachers.

Very good ... very well researched and suitably in-depth. Very valuable to students ... All of the information in one place – very useful for students studying historical Prime Minsiters they may know little or nothing about

S Foster, Politics Teacher & Peer Reviewer

A very comprehensive and detailed overview of each of the Prime Minister. Well structured and easy to follow. This is an excellent complement to the teacher resources/text book. It provides an overview of both domestic and foreign aspects of each premiership which ensures a broad overview ... the first-time reader will be furnished with a detailed insight into each of the Prime Ministers. The constant reference to questions and assessment opportunities is welcome... this provides excellent background reading for each Prime Minister which several resources tend to lack. Therefore, it is of great benefit
