Excellent resource with data and images that had not been used before in previous exam questions, presenting new questions that students will not have seen before. The data sets and images used were thoughtful and completely appropriate. For a more able student it gives them an excellent opportunity to practice all of the specification content in new and unseen exam questions using the correct command words and applying the correct amount of marks and weighting for each question. The mark scheme was very authentic too and was accessible for a student. The design of the questions also felt familiar to Edexcel exam questions providing an excellent platform for practicing. A great resource which must have taken considerable effort to create.
On the whole, it feels like the right level of difficulty and certainly looks like an Edexcel paper. There are a wide range of questions and appropriate resources. This resource would be useful for end of topic assessments if taken topic by topic. It would allow the teacher to gauge understanding and then address misconceptions or go back over any weaker areas. Sections could also be used in class for exam practice and peer/self moderation. It would also be useful in modelling how to tackle questions and approach writing answers. offers A wide range of questions to challenge candidates and allow their teachers to assess their understanding.
Lots of excellent resources and a variety of questions. They felt very authentic in terms of the GCSE and the mark schemes are well written to reflect real exam papers. It would make an excellent revision resource as the spec. is still quite young and, without the Summer 2020 exams there are not may example papers out there. This would add significantly to the question bank available to teachers, or could be used as supplementary questions for students to use as a revision resource. A lot of good content, which would help teachers and students practice exam questions for unit 1. There is a good mix of different question styles which reflect the actual EDEXCEL papers well.
This is really helpful in setting past exam question practice. We only have three past papers from edexcel so this is really useful.
