What do teachers say about this resource? (10164)
I thought this resource was a very detailed resource, offering a lot of different activities. The range of the activities covers all of the AQA skills specification , including: Using and interpreting O/S Maps, Atlas maps, Photos in relation to O/S Maps, as well as statistical skills, numerical skills and graphical skills. I liked the fact that the skills activities can be easily photocopied page by page, and that the maps and other source materials are all ready available and ready to use - so you don't have to source your own maps and examples. The layout is very clear, with icons showing the students where to answer the questions. I also like the "Learn the skill" boxes that outline what is expected from the students in the exam. It was also great to see a full set of answers, to help with teacher workload. There is also a range of worked examples, which is very helpful. This resource really helps to provide the student with a "one stop shop" for all of the skills based activities for the AQA GCSE Specification. It enhances learning as the range of activities are so comprehensive and there is plenty of opportunity for repeating tasks until their are mastered. I like the presentation, as it is clear and straightforward to follow. The students can access this without too much teacher input, which means it could be used for homework and independent learning.
