What do teachers say about this resource? (10030)

The resource is well thought out and fit for purpose. The activities allow students to either consolidate their knowledge or retrieve knowledge in a varied way. From a delivery perspective it will aid teachers with quick starters, plenaries or even mini-tasks within a lesson. Many of the activities could also form part of a larger task or lesson and so allows teachers to form further activities from these starter tasks. Clear instructions/suggestions on how to use each activity and all include possible answers. The instructions and explanations can aid teacher’s understanding (particularly useful for first-time teachers, NQT’s/RQT’s and non-specialists.) The information is accurate and detailed. The specification reference page is very useful in aiding finding an activity quickly. This resource will ensure that teachers can assess the level of knowledge of their students in a simple low-stakes activity. There is opportunity to add extension tasks, and there are even some suggested in the activities to allow for challenge. The activity pack covers content across the specification and can be used as stated previously as starters/plenaries, knowledge check activities and even revision purposes. There is an activity for each topic under each Learning Outcome on the specification... this gives teachers at least one pre-made resource for each section which can be used as intended by the resource, or as a revision exercise towards the end of a Learning Outcome. Interpretation of the specification is good and accurately covers the required content. The resource would serve us well and be beneficial to staff delivering the unit. Overall, an excellent starting point resource that is easy to implement into schemes of learning and lessons. In cases where a teacher is new to the specification/course, these activities could help them to frame and plan their lessons.
