GCSE AQA English Language- Updates to exams from Summer 2026

To support effective exam preparation, we are refreshing a selection of our GCSE AQA English Language resources in response to recent exam board changes.

These updates ensure that students are practising with materials that reflect current assessment approaches, while allowing teachers to continue using existing resources with confidence.

The refreshed content applies to our Practice Paper and Unseen Preparation Pack ranges. Please click the links supplied to purchase the updated 2026 resources. Previous customer? Don't worry, an email will be coming your way or simply get in touch for more information on how to access these new versions!

Please be aware that eRevision and the Revision and Practice Packs have not been updated and are still suitable for the specification, but as they contain old exam structure/wording, please manually make changes for your students. We will carry through the below changes to these resources when there is next a notable specification change.

Updates to resources include:

Note:This content is provided for guidance only and is not exam-board documentation.

  • Question 5 writing prompts emphasise imaginative development rather than literal description.
  • Question 5 narrative writing allows for an opening rather than a full story.

  • Question 4 wording changed from ‘compare’ to ‘comment on’.
