French speakers needed for paid recording work

We are an educational publishing company, producing resources for schools in the UK. We require 1 male French native speaker to record podcasts and dialogues for educational resources in French. You will be asked to come to a recording studio (postcode BS2 9EB), sit in a soundproof recording booth and read out some transcripts in French.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a native speaker of French with a clear, neutral accent (this is essential for teaching resources – unfortunately we can’t accept strong regional accents)
  • Be able to speak clearly, loudly and slowly (most of the transcripts will need to be read out slowly so they can be understood by English students)
  • Have communicative English (you will be given instructions in English)
  • Be available for a full day (approximately 8.45am – 5.30pm) on Wednesday 8th August. Timings are approximate; we may finish earlier or later. Please confirm you are available for the entire day.
  • Be organised and be able to work efficiently (we have a lot of recordings to get through in a limited amount of time)

No previous recording experience is necessary.

Pay

Pay will be £8.85 per hour (£9.92 including holiday pay). You will be paid for all hours worked, excluding lunch. You need to arrange own transport (travel costs are not refunded).

To Apply

Please send your CV to Ellena Heywood EllenaHeywood@zigzageducation.co.uk.

Please confirm your availability for the aforementioned date and confirm that you are a native speaker.

The deadline for applications is Monday 16th July 2018.
