Great tool for assisting revision, either tasks set by a teacher or pupil led. Manageable chunks for pupils to revise from. Good answers section to allow pupils to check their own understanding. High volume of relevant and varied sporting examples. Varied revision tasks at the end of each chapter, encouraging pupils to reflect on what they have learnt/revised and see how effective that revision has been. Concise 'knowledge checklists'- easy for pupils to monitor what they need to focus on. Use of case studies to support understanding. This resource makes that topic seem much more comfortable for pupils than other resources I have seen. Great resource to support independent revision, following content delivery.

Excellent resource to assist with focused revision. This will save a lot of time... very useful and will save a lot of time and stress!! The checklists and key terms and definitions at the beginning of each chapter helps students reflect on their learning and helps reinforce the key words. Revision tips through out were excellent and will really help the students. Answers at the back allow the student to self assess and peer their knowledge for instant feedback. A must use resource to anyone teaching OCR GCSE PE.

What do teachers say about this resource? (9374)

Thorough, detailed and packed with sporting examples. Clear checklists... Key terms... Good sporting examples... Revision and exam style questions...a very useful tool. It allows pupils to tackle chapters in manageable chunks and be able to check their understanding with the end of chapter revision and exam style questions. It would also work well for teachers as homework or guided revision tasks. Particularly good for higher ability pupils who can independently revise and check their understanding of topics. Information is displayed in interesting and different formats.

This is an excellent revision tool and will help students have focused revision. The resource is easy to use and will save any teacher a lot of time. I really liked the command words and there definitions. This is normally an area where teachers spend the least amount of time teaching due to high content level, this will help students ensure they are learning the different meaning of command words whilst revise PE. I think this resource will really help get students prepared for their GCSE exam and can work as ‘last minute’ preparation for those students who like to ‘cram’ before the exam, but will also work effectively for students to use in the months leading up to the exam.
