What do teachers say about this resource? (8399)

The quality of the writing is excellent... The analysis of the piece is accurate... The author clearly has excellent musical knowledge and excellent knowledge of the specification... Definitions of music terms are explained well throughout the resource... The revision games are really good and so is the AfL section near the back. The extended writing questions are also excellent.

A comprehensive overview of this set work! Activities are then used to cement this understanding through ‘matching’ tasks and other activities which could easily be used as a starter or plenary within lessons... The example questions, musical excerpts and listening guidance would work extremely well, giving students the skills they will need to get full marks in sections relating to this set work. As a source and guide for use of musical vocabulary this resource is invaluable. The clear way that key terminology is identified, referenced and defined makes it a powerful tool for students to develop their skills in using musical vocabulary in their exam answers and general musical analysis. There is a good mixture of wider listening examples... There are only limited tools out there for this new specification and this is one of the most usable and comprehensive I have come across yet! An extremely helpful guide for J.S Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto no.5!
