What do teachers say about this resource? (10032)

[Would you purchase this resource?] Without hesitation: it is excellent! A well-structured and carefully thought-out scheme of work with very good use of the set products and other related products. Allows learners to apply their knowledge to the exam, and also independently practice applying their knowledge to a wider range of texts. The wide range of activities included will work well to suit all learning styles and keep learners engaged. I also particularly like the range and variation in type of homework activities. The scheme of work builds learners’ skills from a basic level of understanding to a more detailed one, providing stretch and challenge for higher ability levels but still being accessible for lower ability students. Lessons effectively introduce terminology to students in an intuitive way, which will allow them to retain and recall the information. The inclusion of more challenging material and theory (for example, Barthes’ enigma codes) will allow students to achieve the top grade. The exam focus lessons at the end of each ‘mini-topic’ within the scheme include useful exam practice questions, with clear advice given on suggestions for differentiating these lessons to suit all learners.

Amazing! It’s so worth getting! It saves so much time... The work has already been done which means it lowers how much I have to do (and I am already swamped). Students can use the worksheets in class, as revision or for homework. It’s easy for all ability ranges to access and provides a lot of variety. Perfectly matches the Eduqas specification also.

A good scheme of work which helped further my own understanding across all four sets of texts. Puts everything in one place and I absolutely would buy/use it. Suggested differentiation is helpful. The mark schemes match those in the specification and the indicative content is appropriate, focused and helpful. The PowerPoints are very pupil friendly and well-designed.

Amazing! Definitely get it! It’s so worth it because everything you need is all in one place! Very detailed and easy to use for a variety of different purposes... allows all abilities to access the work. Students really like the variety of activities that are included. Completely matches the specification.

A very useful, accurate and applicable resource! It is detailed, clear and contains useful hand outs that are well differentiated and allow for linked class work and homework to solidify and secure students' knowledge and understanding. The resource is well designed, very visual and contains plenty of images... particularly good for a subject that is also very visual. There is a good level of humour in the resource which goes well with the contemporary study of classic media forms. The PowerPoints are also of a very high quality, are well differentiated and would be accessible to learners with differing needs. The content and animations are designed to a high standard with the learners in mind. They have clearly been created by an active teacher who understands both the subject, topics and students.

A very thorough and comprehensive set of lesson plans and accompanying resources, which meets the requirements of the specification well and offers a range of different tasks to suit all learners. The way in which the different topics within the scheme have been planned means that learners will gain a deep understanding of the theoretical framework and key concepts, rather than superficial knowledge of the surface meanings of the texts. The lesson plans are clear and easy to follow, and the accompanying PowerPoints are very attractively presented to keep learners engaged. I particularly liked the 'further information' sections which will be particularly helpful for a non-specialist or someone teaching the specification for the first time.

High quality and helpful... A really user friendly set of PowerPoints, worksheets and lesson plans to help with delivery. The presentation is excellent – the animations on the PowerPoint slides make it easy for teachers to use it interactively with classes. Well suited to a GCSE audience. Exam questions given at the end of each section are appropriate and realistic in terms of what the exam board may ask.
