What do teachers say about this resource? (8222)

This is a very professional resource, well related to purpose ... appropriate and useful... The exemplar material is excellent, and the activities are extremely good too. The passages chosen for analysis are excellent and wide-ranging... It is an appropriate level of difficulty and would provide excellent additional support and practice for this element of the course. I like the structure of providing an exemplar before giving students a less scaffolded activity... Well focused on Assessment Objectives and skills required for success on this course (and later)... The answers and indicative content are particularly useful to the teacher and student. The alphabetical glossaries are also very helpful.

L Wilford, Teacher, OCR Examiner & Peer Reviewer (on American Literature)

A good, clear explanation of the task for the exam with some interesting extracts for practising... The breakdown of the exemplar question is particularly helpful for weaker-ability students and hopefully will allow them to not be intimidated by the task after their GCSE level close-analysis exercises... Includes excellent use of the assessment objectives throughout and some good attention to the American synoptic contextual information.

T Tooze, Teacher, OCR Examiner & Peer Reviewer (on American Literature)

Incredibly useful resource for both teachers and students. It has saved lots of time trying to find suitable extracts... There is a broad cross-section of usable extracts which focus on different aspects of the themes in American Literature... It will save you lots of time.
