A great set of exam papers. Teachers can choose to use this well designed set of Edexcel A Level French practice papers (Paper 1) for mock examinations or classroom practice. Concentrating on Theme 3 (Immigration and the French Multicultural Society) and Theme 4 (Occupation and Resistance), students will have the opportunity to practise their reading and listening skills (including summary writing), as well as tackle the Translation into English task. Since there are three sets of papers, students will be able to monitor their progress and prepare themselves for success in the June examinations.

The amount of resources available for A Level French for the new specification is rather limited, especially when it comes to practice papers. This is a very valuable resource as there is nothing like it out there. I use [other publisher's] dynamic learning and I find their assessment material a bit more tedious and less "loyal" to the exam-type questions. This is definitely more the type of practice papers most teachers would be interested in.'

What do teachers say about this resource? (8479, 8480)

This set of three papers which can be used as homework tasks and/or mock papers will prove very useful in preparation for Paper 2 in the A Level Edexcel examination. The translation tasks presented to the students and the essay questions are great examples of what students can expect in their summer paper. The marking criteria and clear instructions included constitute a great support to teachers wishing to familiarise themselves with the demands of the translation from English to French question. The thorough suggested answers effectively present how to tackle the essay questions, offering logical and clear analysis of scenes and an excellent insight into the works themselves.

It will be an invaluable tool when fully developed.

What do teachers say about this resource? (7781)

This is a very good resource to facilitate examination practice. It helps to give the teacher and students extra insight into the new specification and allows the teacher to focus their time on improvements based on the mark scheme instead of sourcing articles and stories and creating questions.
