What do teachers say about this resource? (7446)

The excellent, detailed analysis of key issues across the reign is first-class. For a top-end A level historian this is an excellent resource, particularly in this resource in the extensive evaluation and use of historians, often a key problem for my students... Undoubtedly a superb resource. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to my top-end students.

R Reynolds, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

I think that this resource is very good. There is a fantastic level of detail in the information and all key events and people of the course are well covered... I like the portraits and maps used. The portraits help the students connect to the events and the maps are essential.

This is a nice resource, it is very informative. There are lots of knowledge check questions and activities along with links to additional resources to help students work independently to further their knowledge. Some good active learning activities in there as well to engage students. This resource is of a very good standard.

What do teachers say about this resource? (7445)

A superbly written resource. This clearly will, as it rightly suggests, be a significant enrichment of the A2 course... For those aware of the key textbooks over the last twenty years, this is similar to Mervyn and The Early Tudors in the depth of the analysis. ... This is clearly a resource which fits the brief given. The real strength of this resource is in the detailed analysis, not least that regarding historians and their relative strengths and weaknesses. I would argue that this resource is more focused on the top end of schools and students, but this should prove an invaluable teaching aid for these groups... undoubtedly an excellent resource.

R Reynolds, Teacher & Peer Reviewer

This is an excellent resource. The factual detail is clear and accurate. The key concepts are explained in a clear way and there is a good inclusion of evidence to illustrate points.
