What do teachers say about this resource? (6813)

'A truly excellent resource... It is a highly detailed combination of lessons plans, worksheet resources, teaching ideas and links to further resources. It is very clearly segmented into pre-reading, reading, post- reading and further research. It is a highly engaging resource and could potentially save many hours of planning. It is also linked to GCSE Assessment Objectives throughout. This resource is an absolute gem! I liked the fact that the detailed lesson plans are fully resourced. The worksheet resources are also easy to find and link to the lessons. The worksheets also have the relevant Assessment Objectives clearly displayed. The level of detail in this resource is impressive and helpful. The worksheets are easy to follow and presented very clearly... It is easy for both students and teachers to monitor progress as resources and lessons are very clearly linked to assessment objectives.'

This resource is a comprehensive pack which provides varied activities and worksheets for the whole teaching of Macbeth. This will take you from pre-reading through the actual reading of the play... It focuses not only on the play but also on literacy skills which students will find invaluable throughout the whole of their GCSE study... It enables students to access the different AOs within their lessons as well as focusing on specific context, reading for understanding and SPAG.

L Richards, Teacher & Peer Reviewer (GCSE edition)

This resource contains a wide variety of activities to explore the play with students of a wide variety of ages and abilities. This resource would also fit with any specification or curriculum programme... I liked the simply differentiated scene-by-scene resources, which make for easy differentiation in a mixed class. Most of these are also useful cover work and the suggested answers are helpful for a cover teacher or a teacher new to the play. It was also good to see some specific language from the play glossed in an attempt to demystify Shakespeare... It enhances learning in that it allows detailed scene by scene exploration of the play. The pre-reading activities also allow students who may not be as engaged in Shakespeare to get involved and relate it to modern life, e.g. with the social media links.

The references to modern technology would instantly engage today’s students... The wide variety of activities means it could be adapted to suit all abilities and engage pupils when individual classes have a wide and diverse range of interests... All the world’s a Soap could be excellent for developing a knowledge of the text or as a revision tool before final exams... It offers a wide range of activities... The materials would be really useful to use as revision aids before the exam.
