Wilfred Owen Poetry SOW for A Level

A varied and stimulating 38-lesson Scheme of Work, which explores 15 of Wilfred Owen’s poems. The lessons prompt and support students in questioning how effective Owen’s poetry is at conveying the experience of the Great War and encourages close-reading and independent interpretations. Includes supportive resources, including copies of the poems and poems by other poets for comparison exercises, such as Tennyson, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Keith Douglas and William Blake.

Extremely useful. Students have found the layout and poetry notes very accessible, but also challenging.
