The resource is engaging and offers teachers and learners many activities that provide stimulation for language development at such a crucial stage in the gap between GCSE and AS. The topic of focus, La familia, is an excellent one in which to bridge the knowledge and achievement gap between GCSE and AS Level, and I very much liked the way in which the author has consciously/subconsciously gone about doing this. The activities naturally provide upward progression in terms of linguistic and grammatical structures for AS Level learners.
