What do teachers say about this resource? (1772)
A very comprehensive resource that contained excellent and focused analysis of the text, particularly aimed at the various AOs necessary. There was a series of useful questions and activities that were suggested throughout that would serve to deepen the knowledge of the text and its context. It had the feel of a very accessible yet scholarly resource. The reference to key terms throughout was very useful and highlighted new technical terms that pupils might struggle with... The analysis of each chapter and the information on the whole text at the end of the resource was excellent, but as a teacher I really appreciated the way questions and activities could act as extension tasks for the more able.
It is really impressive how many areas the author of this guide covers, and this demonstrates sound knowledge of both Forster, the context he was writing in and the literary theories that have been applied to the text. This resource is impressive in terms of the challenging analysis of characterisations, themes and literary theories. There is coverage across all AOs... There is a really good range of active learning texts. Indeed, I was really impressed by the creative approaches that were used to consolidate learning. Every task seemed to be carefully considered... This is a really strong resource that I believe would particularly help students to achieve the higher band marks.
