A detailed and useful resource that enables staff to include a range of language analysis based activities in lessons. It is particularly useful for adding that extra level of engagement to a part of the course that is otherwise rather dull... I really liked the range of activities that will enable staff to identify and address student misconceptions... It is very much a support mechanism for consolidating taught knowledge... Educationally, these activities and resources will support students in retention of knowledge.
I really enjoyed using this resource... The tasks are interesting and a good length to keep focus. there are a range of extension tasks for those who need a challenge which is good... Really good for setting as homework or independent study... The teacher's notes are incredibly helpful for time-short teachers. The extension activities and analysis tips are a really good addition to the resource... This is great for consolidating key knowledge of the language levels which are the underpinning frameworks used in the A Level. Students often get fed up with learning the terminology so it is really helpful to have real examples to practise applying their knowledge to... This resource is perfectly suited to students just setting out on their A Level English Language course.
I really liked this resource as there are lots of good revision activities suited to both AS and A level students... It matches the spec well as there is a variety of useful activities and games which cover many of the key terms and the frameworks themselves.

A wide-ranging selection of starters and more extended classroom activities perfect for either introducing or consolidating linguistic frameworks... Particularly useful as a ‘starting point’ for the A Level English Language revision classes I have been running... The playfulness of many of the examples and ideas in the pack is pitched just right to appeal to teenagers... Activities are light-hearted and often focused on group work while at the same time helping to reinforce/teach linguistic knowledge... The tasks are well thought out and require very little additional preparation.
