A Doll’s House poses important questions about gender stereotypes, archetypes, destiny, responsibilities and duty. Written before the term ‘feminism’ was coined, it was as engaging and challenging for the 1879 audience as it is for audiences today! This invaluable activity pack provides a variety of ready-to-use handouts, covering the whole play, for you to mix and match to suit your class. Accessible for every level and linked to the AOs throughout!

A fantastic and very thorough resource!...

...Fills a gap in the market very well!

What do teachers say about this resource? (11957)

A very well-organised and coherent resource that had a number of bite-sized tasks that introduced a wide range of different aspects relevant to the play. The tasks were chunked into appropriate sizes, meaning they could be integrated into an existing Scheme of Work easily, or alternatively expanded to take more time as appropriate... There was a deliberate attempt to link Ibsen's play with the modern day, which I found very appealing. It was clear that the author had worked hard to make their activities accessible to the average A Level group. I also liked the sheer range of different resources: quizzes, Did you know? sections, debates, research tasks, posters etc... The educational value of the resource lies in its very clear focus on covering the Assessment Outcomes of the exam board... The resource also enhances learning by giving teachers a range of activities that are ready-made and which pupils can access easily... This resource provided an excellent level of detail for context: I particularly liked the range and depth of coverage... This was a very well-organised resource and the writer should be congratulated.

An excellent resource. Content breadth is impressive. A systematic and focused approach to studying A Doll’s House. Really helpful to have so many activities as well as a lot of information to read, and insight to gain. Inclusion of pre, during and post-reading activities is great for mapping out teaching time too! Impressed with the layout on the different pages. Very comprehensive. Clear format – good to have terminology, as well as critical reading and extension tasks too. Impressed with the structure of tasks and the development of understanding throughout the resource... Very detailed pack, and contains tasks linking to all AOs, and also ways to apply different approaches is very helpful for those seeking top grades... Great scope of activities to develop understanding and aid students in becoming exam ready... Impressed to have wider reading links, critical perspectives, application of lenses... Really helpful to have suggested answers too... A fantastic and very thorough resource! Fills a gap in the market very well! This will be an invaluable resource.
