What do teachers say about this resource? (11231)

A very thorough and comprehensive resource that was perfectly planned to give to pupils and allow them to take ownership of their learning. The resource gave very helpful walkthrough activities and asked pertinent questions at each stage... One of the strengths of this resource was the chapter walkthroughs. I really liked the coverage that they gave of the text. Often as a teacher I am aware that I can't cover everything, and I felt that this resource would be perfect to give to pupils alongside teaching that would look at particular moments or episodes in more detail... The educational value of this resource lies in its focus on flipped learning: it was comprehensive and contained everything needed to allow pupils to approach and understand the text. I also felt that there were a number of activities on form and structure, aspects of the text which can often be neglected, that would help pupils tackle these issues... This was a very good and thorough resource. Alongside specific teaching, it would work very well to give comprehensive coverage of the text.

J Hathaway, Head of English & Peer Reviewer

The questions for each chapter and the indicative content were excellent. The author's subject knowledge of the text is clearly superb. Great chapter summaries- very useful indeed!

It definitely enhances learning as it helps to guide the students without spoonfeeding them. It also helps the teacher by providing key areas to focus on.
