What do teachers say about this resource? (11120)

The range of products covered is good and shows that a good designer can think around most design problems and create a solution. The depth of content to describe Starck and his biography is very good and gives a relevant insight into his career. There is a good range of activities which utilise required skills from the design process and would encourage a student to analyse their own work against that of existing products which they would likely be familiar with. It also would help develop critical thinking skills through analysis, research and design drawing tasks. The use of links to videos and websites which provide more depth to the designer are useful tools to engage learners. The resource covers a variety of required aspects well and without going into too much detail. It is succinct and keeps your attention as you read through it. The images used illustrate the style of the designer and allows a point of reference for activities and further reading. It links well to key skills such as research, design drawing and analysis which are required in the specification. It also touches on ACESSFMM which is used throughout NEA projects at various stages of the project - in research, analysis, design and evaluation.
