What do teachers say about this resource? (10677)
A very useful resource when preparing for the exam. The design of the papers and mark schemes are closely matched to the actual past papers ... Imaginative scenarios for each paper and the vast majority of the questions are related to these scenarios ... Four whole papers is great! ... I would use this when preparing my students for the final exam, at the point when I had covered all of the content. The papers could be used in class to gauge progress. I would also consider using them as 'walkthroughs' with my classes. The more practice the students get the better they perform. ... The layout matches the actual exam board papers so this is good. It is important that the students are familiar with this layout ... All three learning aims are covered in each paper. The learning aims are 'mixed up' throughout the papers as in the real thing ... All of the question content is relevant to the information taught on the course ... The mark schemes seem accurate and reflect the content provided by Pearson in their authorised text book ... A valuable resource for anyone teaching this course
Useful resource. Gives students a lot of material to practice with. Great time saver for teachers in terms of planning for assessment ... Case studies were appropriate for Key stage ... the opening pages on how to use the resource with the command word taxonomy is a really useful addition to the resource ... Good for practising skills and knowledge. Highly useful in terms of educational value as can be used for interleaving and practising those key skills. Also useful to assess knowledge ... Very clearly matches the topics on the specification- exam word taxonomy matches the command words from the exam board. This provides consistency for the students, which will help them prepare more effectively throughout the course
The resource was well written and included lots of different style questions including fill in, table to study and answer questions from, cash flows and break even to name a few. Fantastic and comprehensive coverage of the specification.
I particularly liked the vast array of different questions and the information charts etc that were included which is essential for these exams. The scenarios were realistic and worded in such a way the learner would easily understand them.
This resource clearly allows for the teacher to check learning and to issue the questions in isolation as a recap/starter activity or the whole paper for a revision exercise. This resource would clearly have an educational value in preparing students for the exam and the style and range of questions along with what is necessary to achieve higher marks and the importance of command verbs.
